What can we deduce from that?
Well, first there are a lot of people that are using the internet in the UK to interact with other people. The way that the UK population is getting its entertainment and information is changing dramatically. It was not that long ago that we all used to watch TV as a family with just three channels to choose from, you would discuss what you watched the next day at work or school, kind of a nation in information harmony. Now that has all changed.
To reach today’s audience the marketing and media world will have to use new techniques to reach their target audience, it is changing fast, a look at the stats above show the dynamic change as new technology comes along, pushing what we believed was established aside.
Social Media is one if the most exciting things to happen in the last few years, we are just seeing the start of a revolution in interaction and communication, there are interesting times ahead.
